Hello! Welcome to the Krafty Kontainers site where you can find unique, decorative and useful containers for your home.

MY STORY

My name is Anna and I have been crafting as long as I can remember. I have tried all kinds of crafts throughout my life, I have stamped, sewed, quilted, crocheted, embroidered…you get the idea. My most recent passion has been upcycling. My Mom was raised at the height of the Great Depression and always taught me “Waste not want not”. This of course leads to thoughts like, “Gee, I shouldn’t throw out that oatmeal box, yogurt container, etc.”  The many restaurant size yogurt and cottage cheese containers piling up in my attic were my first targets. I painted them, stenciled them, wrapped them in fabric and wallpaper as well as yarn and my newest favorite, plairn.

The problem I have found is that while I love creating and trying new things, I don’t know what to do with all my creations. My house is full, my family and friends have all been gifted ad nauseam. However, I don’t want to stop creating. I needed to come up an idea. (My dad would say one of my many hair brain ideas!)

I thought and thought then the light bulb went off! Maybe I could sell them and that is how this website began

THE REST OF MY PLAN

There was one more thing I wanted to do. I always get requests from a variety of charities. I feel just awful not being able to help them all. That is when I decided to give a portion of my proceeds to various charities. I will have and publish a charity of the month. So I feel I have solved two of my own personal dilemmas. I now can keep creating and maybe help those in need.

THE GOAL OF THIS SITE

I hope this site will generate money for those less fortunate while keeping items that would otherwise go into the trash, out of landfills. I also want you, the end user, to be happy with the quirky containers I have handcrafted. I hope they find many uses in your home, as well as solving some of your small storage needs. They may even start some interesting conversations; if so like us on Facebook and share this site with your friends.
